Today, LAFD Arson Investigator Robert McLoud was presented with a commendation by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Victim Assistance Program, as part of National Crime Victim Rights Week. Investigator McLoud was recognized for going "beyond the call of duty" in assisting victims and their families who have been displaced from their homes, transporting them to court to ease financial burdens, and helping victims get through the process of recovering lost property.

Investigator McLoud's actions, and the recognition of his work, are a credit to his fellow Investigators in the Arson/Counter-Terrorism Section and the men and women of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
