National Nonprofit Day is August 17—a day to recognize the organizations making a difference in our communities.
The Peace Officers Relief & Education Foundation (POREF) supports California peace officers and their families through scholarships, crisis relief, and memorial assistance. Funded by donations and events like the POREF Open, these programs honor the fallen, invest in the future, and provide help in times of need. 💙

On Feb. 14, Deputy Daniel Arevalos of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office was involved in a critical head-on collision while on his way to work. He was rushed to the hospital, where he has undergone multiple life-saving surgeries. While his condition is serious but stable, his recovery will be long.
Deputy Arevalos has served with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office since 2020 and is a husband and father to three young children, ages 3, 4, and 10. As his family remains by his side, they face significant financial challenges.
The Santa Clara County Correctional Peace Officers’ Association has launched a Fund A Hero relief fund to assist with medical expenses and to support for his family. 💙 Please consider donating today: porac.org/fundraiser/sccpoa_deputyarevalos
