Excited to celebrate the end of an incredible year at Los Angeles Room & Board. We expanded to 3 additional locations in Los Angeles, graduated 18 students, made a difference in the lives of 100 more, and had a blast in the process!! If you’re in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. we’d love to celebrate with you. Live music, great food and drinks, with some of the best Angelenos in the city.
Stevie Mackey- Singer & celebrity vocal coach to the stars (Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat Dolls, Taraji P Henson, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Fergie, Lenny Kravitz, and Kelly Rowland, and more) will be performing his Christmas album, “The Most Wonderful Time” with special guests.
Josiah Bell- singer, songwriter, producer, and master curator of sounds and good vibes will be DJ’ing.
Algee Smith- advocate and actor (Euphoria, Detroit, The Hate U Give, Shooting Stars, The New Edition story, Judas & the Black Messiah) will be the master of ceremonies.
Chef Nikki Steward- culinary genius to the stars (Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart, and more) will be crafting a menu full of good cheer and good food.

At LA Room & Board, we’re centering current & former foster youth in our Opportunity House project. LA County is home to the nation’s largest number of foster youth, who are more likely to end up in our criminal (in)justice system rather than enrolled on college campuses. Here’s the problem our students are facing. Los Angeles Room & Board has a solution. We’re using open spaces across Los Angeles to get our students housed & supported. Instead of building new housing, we can maximize the efficiency that already exists on our campuses and within our communities, by utilizing vacant/open spaces.

Coronavirus: City Opens Downtown Hotel To Temporarily House Homeless As Part Of Project Roomkey The federal government funds the majority of the program with the state and city covering the remaining balance.
