My pet Pig, Fran enjoying the misters my husband put in for her on our back patio, before the heat of Northern California summer hit.
Ok, they're for us, but she thinks everything in the backyard is for her, so we just let her think it.
We have a "lagoon" behind our house, that is actually the overflow, for the Sacramento River. We get all kinds of wildlife back here. Including white Egrets, blue heron, otters, beavers, turtles...and more. It sounds like a bird sanctuary and we just love it. -Redding, CA USA

This is about 75 feet from my bedroom window.
Meet Mr. Scary. A rodeo bull who lives adjacent to my property. Not too scary here but.....
One morning he was on my side of the fence! Staring into my window, stomping around tearing up the place like a plow (we had just had a lot of rain at the time) the ground was destroyed. He was stuck at a pinch point of the fences like a pie piece. His bachelor herd so close but how to get there??? Ppor guy.
He eventually put his head down and popped the barbed wire and the electric n went on home. I see him in my forest from time to time still....2000 lbs of fury!!!

I live with my family in a nature reserve in South Africa (Tembe Elephant Park). We have the most incredible views from our windows in the house, but also from the car window.
This is a photo out of our daily life. My partner is the elephant monitor in the reserve and he knows the elephants very well. We had turned off the engine to watch them drinking at the pan, when one of them decided to check us out!
My partner has been working in the park for 13 years, that's why we live inside the reserve. We try to make a difference. If you would like to see and learn more after this photo, check out Yvonne in the bush
That's where I write about our life, nature and the animals. Trying to make people more aware of the beauty of nature and why it is so important to protect the animals! Look at this beautiful creatures, just so stunning
