Today the House joined the Senate in voting to remove US from the unauthorized War in Yemen. Trump is expected to veto the measure despite overwhelming bipartisan support.

Congress Finally Pushes Back Against the Imperial Presidency With a Vote to Cut US Support for the War in Yemen In a historic move, the House joins the Senate in passing a War Powers Resolution to end unauthorized US participation in a foreign conflict.

The House passing H.J.Res.37 is a great first step in ending US implication in the genocide in Yemen, and we urge the Senate to pass the bill on within the month.
However, the bill includes an amendment allowing the Executive branch to continue its sharing of intelligence with the Saudi-coalition. We urge Congress to completely cut off military ties with the Saudi government.
