A Democrats made the party a pariah

During Donald Trump’s first term, he placed his trust in a string of attorney generals who each proved to be colossal disappointments. First came Jeff Sessions, who promptly recused himself and handed control to the wolves. Then Rod Rosenstein and acting AG Matthew Whitaker briefly held the reins, but the damage was already done. William Barr followed, initially talking tough, but in the end he folded under pressure and walked away when Trump needed him most.

Each one, without fail, either betrayed Trump or vanished when it mattered. Now, heading into his second term, Trump has chosen Pam Bondi as his current attorney general. It’s a move that already reeks of déjà vu. Once again, he is surrounding himself with someone who talks loyalty but will almost certainly prove just as ineffective and disloyal as those who came before.

History has a nasty habit of repeating itself. In Trump’s DOJ, betrayal isn’t an accident. It’s a pattern.

Daniel Penny was acquitted by a liberal New York jury but yet I can hear the war drums already and that signals that the thugs will be out tonight, unfortunately. I guess it’s time to steal more big screen TVs from Best Buy and Target.  The dead zombie was a real monster with 46 arrests. He couldn’t simply ride a subway car without victimizing people at every opportunity. He’s another role model for black children like George Floyd. We need more Daniel Penny’s in our world.

That’s a mystery. The race baiting here is uncalled for and disgraceful. There’s no question that this event must be thoroughly, completely and comprehensively investigated. Historically there are many incidents where people pulled over by cops are so distressed that they commit su***de. There are also cases of people who handle guns a lot in a generally safe manner but it only takes a single act of negligence for tragedy. We simply don’t yet know what happened here.
