Shape Local Policy & Funding: Apply for Open Positions on the ECWA Board! 🗳️📊
The future of Baldwin Hills, Leimert Park, and the Crenshaw corridor relies on strategic leadership. ECWA is seeking passionate neighborhood stakeholders to fill critical vacancies on our Board.
These are not passive volunteer roles—these are active community board seats with real responsibilities to manage local funds, design community communication networks, and advocate directly to city departments.
Explore the Vacant Openings:
💼 Treasurer: Financial reporting, compliance, and budget accountability.
📈 Media Coordinator: Social media strategy, community email campaigns, and brand consistency.
📋 Secretary: Governance administration, document preservation, and meeting agenda formulation.
🗺️ Area 1 & At-Large Representatives: Local constituency advocacy, issue monitoring, and stakeholder liaison support.
Commitment: Board membership requires active participation in monthly meetings, committee assignments, and public events to ensure transparency and equity across our entire district.
Don't just discuss local issues—help solve them. To apply, SCAN the QR Code or reach out to us at [email protected].

Building a Resilient Neighborhood Through Youth Opportunity 🌳🏛️
Preparation meets opportunity this week in the West Area. The Empowerment Congress West Area (ECWA) is proud to facilitate three major initiatives for our local youth and young adults:
IMMEDIATE HIRING: Tomorrow, May 14th, from 10 AM - 1 PM, a major Hiring Event will be held at the Family Source Center. Positions range from part-time to full-time careers.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: This Saturday, the Youth Rise Leadership Summit in Leimert Park will provide a platform for youth ages 12-18 to discuss the future of our community.
CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: High school students (16+) can now apply for the Student Poll Worker Program. This is an excused absence from school that pays a stipend of up to $180, providing a unique look at the election process.
Empowerment starts with information. Please share these resources with a student, parent, or educator in the district.
