GALS Los Angeles

First All Girls Middle Charter School in Los Angeles. Empowering girls to succeed academically, lead We opened in August 2016.

With five successful years of operation and going strong, we have graduated three classes. Our students are well-prepared for the rigors of college-prep course in high school. Graduates are currently attending Marlborough, Viewpoint, LAUSD magnet schools, and charter schools.

What do water balloon volleyball, dodgeball, and school spirit have in common? They were all major parts of our latest annual GALympic Games! 💜🏐

For nearly a decade, GALS LA students have celebrated the end of the school year through our annual GALympics, a tradition that brings together movement, teamwork, community and fun.

As we close out another successful year, we're proud to celebrate all our students have accomplished and grateful for the memories we've made together.

GALympics begins soon! It is intentionally timed alongside state testing to help boost student energy, motivation, and overall readiness for this important period. Our program engages students in wellness teams throughout the school year, building skills, strength, and connection, and culminates in Olympic-inspired team competitions at the end of the year.

We are thrilled to have just returned home from our wonderful spring break 🏕️ camping trip. Steeped in nature, our girls had the opportunity to build leadership skills, connect with their surroundings and one another – all while experiencing so many firsts R.M. Pyles Boys Camp . First S’More, anyone? This is what learning looks like at GALS LA.
