MAKE CHRISTMAS MIRACLES HAPPEN!

This holiday season, let’s bring joy and hope to 140 children whose fathers were tortured or remain in Russian captivity. These brave kids deserve to feel the warmth of Christmas and know they’re not forgotten.

Each child has written a personal wish list — every gift will be chosen just for them, a heartfelt reminder that someone cares.
All donations go directly to the “Price of Freedom” Fund, founded by Oleksii Anulia, a former Ukrainian POW and author of Jingle Bellz, an international story of survival and courage.
As Ukraine prepares for Christmas and the New Year, your support will help these children experience the magic of the holidays — to feel loved, supported, and seen.

All donations go directly to the “Price of Freedom” Fund, founded by Oleksii Anulia, a former Ukrainian POW and author of Jingle Bellz, an international story of survival and courage.

Organized by Ukrainian Culture Center - UCC and Go Ukraina , a U.S.-based nonprofit supporting Ukraine with humanitarian aid and advocacy.

Be part of a Christmas miracle.

Every dollar matters. Every gift brings light.

Together, let’s show Ukraine’s children that love and faith are stronger than war.

!!!!! UPDATED LOCATION DUE TO RAIN FORECAST
Ukrainian Culture Center / 4315 Melrose Ave.!!!!!

November 22 is International Holodomor Commemoration Day, observed annually on the fourth Saturday of November. The annual commemoration will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ukrainian Culture Center / 4315 Melrose Ave.
In 2024, the California State Legislature declared November Holodomor Memorial Month. Every year, we pay respect to the seven to ten million Ukrainians who were victims of the genocide perpetrated by the Soviet Russian regime.
The name of the tragedy we commemorate consists of two Ukrainian words: holod, meaning “hunger” and mor, meaning “death.” This remembrance is especially poignant today, given the resurgence of a genocidal mission by Russia.
The keynote speaker will be Victor Rud, Esq., of Duke University School of Law. He also serves as Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Ukrainian American Bar Association and is a frequent contributor to the Kyiv Post. Mr. Rud has over 35 years of experience as an international attorney and is an honors graduate of Harvard College and Duke University School of Law.
Other speakers will include Dmytro Kushneruk, Consul General of Ukraine; Juris Bunkis, MD, Honorary Consul of Latvia; and Jaak Treiman, Esq., Honorary Consul of Estonia. Congressman Ted Lieu (36th District, California) has sent a message to be read at the event.

We invite you all to attend the Holodomor Commemoration in Los Angeles at Ukrainian Culture Center / 4315 Melrose Ave on Sunday, November 16, to honor the millions of lives lost and recognize the living Los Angeles-area survivors, whose names will be read, of this lesser-known but historic genocide, which occurred only six years before World War II.

November 22nd is International Holodomor Commemoration Day, which occurs annually on the fourth Saturday of November.

The name of the tragedy which we commemorate is comprised of two Ukrainian words put together: “holod” meaning “hunger/starvation” and “mor” meaning “death”. Remembrance of this epoch in history is especially poignant now, given the return of a genocidal mission on the part of russia.
The annual commemoration will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2 pm at Gloria Molina Grand Park in Los Angeles. This is the site of a long-standing memorial to the victims of the Holodomor. The bronze-on-stone memorial to the fallen of that time in 1932-1933 was unveiled on May 18, 1986, while the United States Army Band played.
The keynote speaker will be Victor Rud, Esq. of Duke University School of Law. Other speakers will include Dmytro Kushneruk, Consul General for Ukraine, Juris Bunkis, MD, honorary consul of Latvia, and Jaak Treiman, Esq., honorary consul of Estonia.
