A Letter to the Campus Community Regarding the March 2, 2021 USAC Meeting

Thank you Rep. Ted Lieu, Rep. Katie Porter, Congressman Brad Sherman and Representative Mike Garcia for signing the recent House letter establishing diplomatic relations between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. 🇮🇱 🇦🇪 🇧🇭

BIPAC is proud to support the recent peace deal reached between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The UAE has joined only two other Arab nations, Egypt and Jordan, in officially recognizing the existence of the State of Israel. This peace deal involves plans for the UAE to invest in the Israeli economy, including efforts to research a coronavirus vaccine, and establish embassies in both nations. In return, Israel has also agreed to suspend travel restrictions for UAE citizens, who will now be able to visit the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. This historic agreement strengthens the legitimacy of Israel’s existence in the Middle East and takes a crucial step towards the regional peace Israel strives for.

BIPAC recently sent out a letter on behalf of a group of students across California who support the US-Israel relationship thanking Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris for signing on to a Senate letter opposing the International Criminal Court's investigation of war crimes against Israel, which violates the Court's own charter.
