Working two jobs, serving on several boards, and running for LA City Council District 14 is a balancing act of its own.

This evening, I am preparing to teach the DEIPAR framework to doctoral students at Simmons University on Tuesday afternoon. (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Power & Anti-Racist).

Tomorrow morning I put on my Alzheimer's disease researcher/ Geriatric Social Worker hat and switch gears to pre-screen patients/participants, consult caregivers, and console family members about this deadly disease that is increasing as I write these words. After work, I door knock and phone bank.

Since I am neither a musical chair career politician nor a carpetbagger running for LA City Council District 14, I look at the bright side of things and realize that the DEIPAR framework is a positive one that could be utilized and implemented to strengthen, empower and improve CD 14.🙏🏾
