What a fun Walktober event with about 400 participants from Los Ranchos Elementary and Taylor Middle Schools. Everyone was courteous on the road and the students practiced being safe pedestrians as they walked between the two schools--great job!

The new equipment trailer to support access and functional needs during deployment of emergency shelters is as thoughtful as it is impressive.

Many thanks to our partners at BernCo Emergency Management and Director Thomas Walmsley for today's Open House.

's Department of Emergency Management is proud to introduce its new Access and Functional Needs (AFN) trailer - a mobile resource designed to help emergency shelters better serve residents with disabilities, older adults, and others with access and functional needs.

Packed with mobility equipment, communication aids, sensory resources, privacy dividers, and more, the trailer can be deployed to shelters during emergencies, trainings, and exercises across New Mexico.

Come see it for yourself at its public debut!

MRGCD expects available water supplies to decline over the next several days, and Prior and Paramount-only operations are likely to resume by the end of Wednesday unless additional rainfall and runoff improve river conditions.

As of today, the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) has resumed releasing stored water to meet Prior and Paramount irrigation demands for the six Middle Rio Grande Pueblos after determining that current river flows are insufficient to fully meet those needs.
