STEEKEE ROAD SHUT DOWN DUE TO ROLLOVER SEMI TRUCK WRECK
The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office is on scene of a single-vehicle crash involving an overturned semi-truck in the 6500 block of Steekee Road. The semi overturned, went through the guardrail, and brought down a power pole and lines.
The driver sustained minor injuries. First responders from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Priority Ambulance Service, Loudon County Fire/Rescue, and Loudon Utilities are on scene.
Steekee Road will be shut down for approximately 6 to 7 hours while crews work to clear the scene and address the downed power lines. Motorists are asked to seek an alternate route. The road will be shut down between Roberts Road and Get Good Hollow Road. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Today, three of our officers had the distinct honor of assisting with the presidential motorcade during President Donald J. Trump’s visit to Knoxville for the highly anticipated Battle of the UTs at Neyland Stadium.

History was made right here in East Tennessee, and our officers were proud to play a significant role in supporting the security and coordination surrounding this visit. Events such as this require planning, teamwork, professionalism, and cooperation among local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.

Our officers represented our agency with dedication and professionalism while helping to ensure the safety of the President and the community.

A memorable day for East Tennessee, a proud moment for our agency, and a perfect example of law enforcement working together in service to our community and our nation.

Today, Corporal-GDI Brandon Nix was honored as the recipient of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), City of Loudon 2026 Officer of the Year Award.

Corporal Nix is currently serving as the Loudon Police Department’s first-ever full-time Training Officer, reporting directly to Deputy Chief Harrison. In this newly established position, Corporal Nix serves as the department’s General Department Instructor (GDI) and oversees all aspects of departmental training. His responsibilities also include oversight of the department’s evidence and property control functions, and he serves as the department’s Accreditation Manager.

Corporal Nix has embraced the responsibilities and challenges of this new position with steadfast dedication and professionalism. His commitment to improving training, strengthening accountability, and helping establish consistent professional standards has played an important role in moving the Loudon Police Department forward in a positive and professional direction.

We are extremely proud of Corporal Nix and grateful for the dedication he continues to demonstrate to the Loudon Police Department, his fellow officers, and the community we serve.

The Loudon Police Department is proud to stand alongside our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners in the continued fight against human trafficking and the exploitation of children.

A recent two-day undercover operation in the Loudon area resulted in two arrests. Please see the full press release below for additional details.

JUST ANNOUNCED: Loudon – An undercover joint operation by special agents with TBI’s Human Trafficking Unit, the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, the Loudon Police Department, the Lenoir City Police Department, the 9th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of two men.

Our department received an animal call regarding the two dogs pictured. We were unable to locate their owner. The complainant stated that they both have been around the Jiffy Park area since yesterday. If you or someone you know are missing these two, they have been transported to the Loudon County Animal Shelter this afternoon.
