New online program starts November 3!!
Join us for a 12 week completely online Healthy Holidays healthy lifestyle program. This program is for those who may be at high risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes. Each week a new topic video and info will be shared. Nothing live! View each week when it is convenient for you. The best part about this...the Community! We will be able to support each other in this group by sharing ideas, holiday recipes, traditions, and remind each other that even during the holidays our health is worth it! Taking us through the holiday season we can encourage each other on making healthy choices all season long so we can skip the January guilt trip! Congratulations, Chris! Well deserved!!

Congratulations to Chris Crum, Public Health Director of Greenup County Health Department (GCHD), on receiving the Kentucky Health Departments Association's (KHDA) Lifetime Achievement Award!

The award recognized Chris's nearly two decades leading GCHD, including letters of support from peers across the state. His award was presented by Debbie Miller, Director of the Lawrence County KY Health Department, Vice President of KHDA.

In his words: "I am humbled and honored to receive this award. Improved public health doesn't happen in a day, it happens across a lifetime."

Lawrence County Health Department will offer walk-in flu shot clinics on Mondays from 8 am until 6 pm beginning Monday, October 12, 2026. No appointment necessary. Please bring your insurance card. If you do not have insurance or your plan doesn't cover flu shots, low-cost or no-cost options may be available.
