Warm Hearts Winter Drive is HERE!

This week, we’re collecting donations to help stock our clothes closet and keep our neighbors warm this winter!

Do you have gently used winter clothing or blankets you no longer need? We would love to give them a second home and get them into the hands of neighbors who need them.

📍 1207 Hart Ave

Donation boxes will be placed outside our office all week, so you can drop off your donations anytime!

Let’s come together to help keep our community warm this winter.

Tuesday Shoutout!! Our AMAZING Volunteers!!!

It takes a lot of work behind the scenes to keep our operations running and much of that work is done by volunteers. Some of our volunteers have just joined the team and many others have been showing up for our neighbors for years.

Our volunteers do everything from sorting donations to data entry. Our volunteers help remind us of the heart of our organization: Neighbors helping neighbors.

Today we especially want to highlight our Clothes Closet volunteers. Did you know our clothes closet is run almost entirely by volunteers? They have such a heart for our community. They continue to show up every Wednesday like clockwork, ready and willing to help those in need.

With our Warm Hearts Winter Drive approaching next week, we wanted to take a moment and share some of the warmth they have brought to us here at MUSCL. We cannot say thank you enough for all that they do to help us keep our mission going.

*REMINDER* We are always looking for more people to help. If you are interested in volunteering with us shoot us a private message or drop "Volunteer" in the comments.

Thank you to our Clothes Closet volunteers and all of our volunteers across all our services here. You all are truly amazing! We could not do this without you!

Help us celebrate our volunteers! Drop a thank you in the comments to show them some love!

Louisville, we are calling on you again!

We were so impressed with how you all showed up for our parking fundraiser and the community wide food drive that we decided to start something new. We have decided to launch monthly initiatives to help support our neighbors.

Each month we will be highlighting a need in our community and offering the opportunity for you to join us in meeting that need - either by volunteering, donating items, financial contributions or spreading the word.

Because let's be honest, we can all feel the weight of the world right now and we think this is an opportunity to come together and share the burden.

Maybe you have a few hours to volunteer.
Maybe you have items you can donate.
Maybe you’re able to make a financial contribution.
Maybe you can share this post.

Whatever way you can show up, let’s do it together.

October’s Initiative: The Clothes Closet

As the colder months approach, our Clothes Closet needs winter clothing to help keep our neighbors warm, comfortable, and safe.

We’re collecting clean, gently used winter clothing for neighbors in need, including coats, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, pants, hats, gloves, scarves, and other cold-weather essentials.

If you have winter clothing your family has outgrown or no longer needs, this is a great time to pass it on.

Help us make sure our neighbors don’t have to face the cold without the essentials they need.

Louisville, let’s show up for each other!

We love seeing our community come together to support one another!

We are still so excited about how amazing our weekend was that we can't stop talking about it! Everyone who parked with us was so lovely. Many of you offered additional donations, shared business cards, and so many kind words.

But we can't forget to thank our community partners who helped make this whole thing happen!

A HUGE thank you to Gene and Aaron Glaser! Many of you may recognize them as the previous owners of Glaser Collision Center. They generously allowed us to use their properties for parking. Without their generosity, this weekend wouldn't have been possible.

Gene and Aaron - thank you for your kindness and for helping to support a local nonprofit so that we can help support our neighbors! We are so grateful for you and your support!

We also owe a BIG thanks to our business neighbor, Consolidated Tire and Auto and their shop manager, Ronnie Young!

Ronnie was out there working hard to park cars at his own business, but even while they were busy, he still took the time to help us park cars when we were short on volunteers. He brought us balloons to help make our parking spots stand out, helped us clean up the lot and gather our cones at the end of the night, and even made a donation to our fundraiser!

Our neighbors are awesome. 💙

This weekend was long, but let me tell you—it was amazing! We made so many connections, had so many great conversations, lots of laughs and even got some extra sun!

Our hearts are full.

4 DAYS. 12 VOLUNTEERS. 146 HOURS. MORE THAN $5500 RAISED! 🎉**

And just like that, another Bourbon & Beyond weekend is in the books! ❤️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated to our parking fundraiser, parked with us, shared our posts, sent friends our way, or simply stopped to say hello.

So many of you came back from last year. Many of our neighbors parked with us every single day. And so many of you went above and beyond by making additional donations to MUSCL.

Louisville, you showed up and showed out! 🙌

We also want to give some very special shout-outs:

❤️ To our amazing volunteers: Annetta, Chuck, Gina, Jerry, Josh, Joyce, Karen, Peggy, PJ, Roger, and Stephanie.

These were LONG days, and they were definitely tiring, but you showed up, worked hard, and gave your time to make this fundraiser possible. We truly could not have done it without you!

❤️ To our amazing neighbors: Thank you to everyone who helped, encouraged us, held signs, sent volunteers our way, and supported us throughout the weekend.

❤️ To our neighboring businesses: Thank you for welcoming us, supporting our fundraiser, and helping make the weekend a success. We are especially grateful for those who helped spread the word and send people our way.

What a weekend. What a fundraiser. And what a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support one another. ❤️

Thank you, Louisville, for parking with us, donating, volunteering, sharing, encouraging, and showing MUSCL so much love.

We appreciate you more than you know!

Until next year… thank you!!

Bourbon & Beyond is coming to a close, but we’ve been busy—and we have some amazing neighbors to thank! ❤️

A special shoutout to Vivian and Rechalle, who live right here in our neighborhood. They’re offering parking for the festival, but they’ve gone above and beyond to help us out, too! From holding signs out on the street and sending volunteers our way to simply offering a kind word and a friendly smile, they’ve been such a wonderful help throughout this busy weekend.

We love seeing neighbors helping neighbors in real time. ❤️

We’re so grateful for the kindness, support, and community spirit right here in our own neighborhood!

Thank you, Vivian and Rechalle! 🫶
