Thank you to everyone who joined us for our October Lunch & Learn!

We loved welcoming community members to Day Spring to tour our campus, learn more about our mission, and discover how we provide homes, care, and community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

A special thank-you to Jaggers Restaurant and Nothing Bundt Cakes for generously providing lunch and helping make our event possible!

Yesterday’s Lunch & Learn was our last one for the calendar year, but we’ll be picking back up in early 2027!

Hungry Hungry Hippos—but make it human! 🦛

Our residents had a blast putting a human-sized twist on the classic game Hungry Hungry Hippos! They raced to scoop up as many plastic balls as they could and get them into their boxes.

We love finding creative ways to keep our residents active, engaged, and having fun through our Arts + Wellness activities!

🍂 Day Spring Fall Fling is one month away! 🍂

On Friday, November 20, we’re bringing our Day Spring community together for our annual Fall Fling—a day of service dedicated to getting our campus ready for winter and the holiday season!

We’re looking for volunteers to join us for the day and help with projects across our campus, including leaf clean up, gutter cleaning, Christmas decorating in our residential houses, and more!

From getting the grounds ready for winter to adding festive touches throughout our residents’ homes, there’s plenty to do—and we’d love to have you be part of it.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided by Jaggers, along with homemade chili.

Fall has arrived at the zoo! 🎃🦒🍂

The Louisville Zoo is officially decorated for Halloween and the fall season, making our weekly Zoo Walking Club mornings even more festive!

As part of our Arts + Wellness program, our residents enjoy being outside in the community each week, getting some exercise, and exploring the zoo together during their morning walks. And with all the fall decorations now in place, there’s even more to see along the way!

We’ll be sad when Zoo Walking Club comes to an end next month, but we’re enjoying every walk while we can!

Our Resident Free Swing Hole was a highlight of this year’s Day Spring Golf Classic! Our residents LOVED participating, and a couple even got a hole-in-one of their own!

A special thank-you to all the golfers who contributed $20 to participate and made our residents feel included. Your participation helped make this such a fun and memorable part of the day, and it’s exactly what Day Spring’s mission is all about.

We’re so grateful for a community that makes moments like these possible and helps make our Golf Classic a success! 💙🏌
