It was wonderful to hear Kelley Paul at the Republican Women’s Club of Louisville and Jefferson County yesterday! She spoke about the reason behind writing her children's books, "Good Night, Little American" and "Good Night, Young American." --> If you are interested in attending the events/luncheons of this Women’s Club, please do. They meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 11am at the Woodhaven Country Club. Lunch is always provided for $30 and reservations must be made to Donna at 502-594-0025.

🇺🇸 KENTUCKY VOTERS: This amendment will be on your ballot when you head to the polls on November 3rd!
Make sure you understand what voting YES or NO means before casting your vote.

🗳️ Understanding Amendment 1 — What Does Your Vote Mean?

Amendment 1 would limit the governor’s ability to issue pardons or reduce criminal sentences beginning 60 days before a gubernatorial election until the new governor takes office.

✅ VOTE YES: You support restricting the governor’s pardon power during this period. Supporters believe this would help prevent controversial last-minute pardons and strengthen public trust.

❌ VOTE NO: You oppose the proposed restriction and want to keep the governor’s current pardon powers. Opponents believe governors should maintain the flexibility to review cases and grant pardons when necessary.

The bottom line: This amendment does not eliminate the governor’s pardon power. It determines whether that power should be restricted during an election transition.

With the midterms just weeks away, I was proud to speak with the College Republicans at the University of Louisville about our work to take on violent crime and keep Kentucky families safe.
