The Loves Park Fire Department proudly serves the citizens and visitors of Loves Park, IL. The Loves Park Fire Department proudly protects an area of 17 Sq.

Our mission is “With unwavering dedication, we protect life and property through professionalism, hard work, and fearless service.” miles. We operate out of three locations, Station One at 5180 Rock Valley Parkway, Station Two at 1527 Windsor Rd, and our administrative headquarters at 1535 Windsor Rd. Our city is comprised of primarily residential with a mix of industrial and commercial occupancies. We also protect the beautiful Rock Cut State Park which offers a mix of outdoor activities. The Loves Park Fire Department was formed in 1947 and currently operates with 24 full-time members and 10 part-time members who are all professional firefighters, EMT's and/or paramedics.

We're only THREE days into November, and we've raised nearly $500 for Movember! 💙

We're excited about what we can accomplish together this month. Nearly $500 in just three days shows what a community can do when people come together for a cause that matters. Our goal is to make a real difference in men's health and support those facing prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health challenges. No one should feel they have to go through those battles alone.

Keep an eye out for our crew around town sporting our department Movember shirts. We're growing the staches, and even the engine is getting in on the action! 🚒🥸

This November, we’re joining Movember for the first time, growing our mustaches & participating in fitness challenges shows how we’re standing behind an important mission: raising awareness for men’s health, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health. 💙

As firefighters, we spend our days looking out for others, but taking care of ourselves matters, too. Too many men put off checkups or feel they have to handle things on their own. We want to help change that and remind the men in our lives that their health matters.

We’re excited to kick off this new tradition and can’t wait to bring our community along with us! We’ll keep you updated throughout the month on how much we raise and, of course, how our guys’ mustaches are coming along. 👨🏻🥸

Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃 Have a blast celebrating this weekend, but remember to keep safety in mind! Here are a few quick reminders to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable Halloween, whether you're trick-or-treating, driving, or celebrating with friends and family. 👻

- Costume Safety: Choose bright, visible costumes with reflective tape when possible. Make sure costumes fit properly to avoid tripping.
- Flame-Free Alternatives: Use battery-operated candles in jack-o'-lanterns to prevent fire hazards.
- Stay Alert: Look both ways before crossing streets and stick to sidewalks whenever possible.
- Keep Decorations Safe: Keep decorations away from open flames, light bulbs and heaters.

Introducing Fitness Friday at LPFD!

We're kicking off a new series giving you a behind-the-scenes look at firefighter fitness, training, and wellness inside our firehouse gyms, also known as THE BURN PIT!🔥For our first Fitness Friday, we're highlighting a new addition to both of our fire stations: Hyperice Normatec Recovery Stations! Normatec compression therapy helps promote circulation and support muscle recovery after physically demanding calls and training.

At LPFD, we prioritize physical fitness and wellness by investing in resources that support our firefighters’ health, recovery, and readiness to serve our community.

Today is National First Responders Day, and we want to thank our fellow fire, police and public works departments, along with our 911 dispatchers, for their dedication and service every day. Thank you for your bravery, commitment and sacrifices to keep our community safe. Your work does not go unnoticed.

A special thank you to our incredible team at the Loves Park Fire Department (just a few pictured here). You’re the ones who respond when people need help most, showing up to difficult calls with strength, skill and compassion. We’re proud of the work you do and grateful for the difference you make in our community every day. ❤️

What a fun Saturday at Machesney Park Town Center for the annual Parks Touch-A-Truck & Trunk-or-Treat! 🎃🚒 The weather was beautiful, and we loved seeing SO many kiddos come out to enjoy the day!

What a great afternoon with the kiddos at Grace Lutheran Preschool!

Yesterday, we brought the fire engine over for a fun Touch-a-Truck event alongside a few other City of Loves Park departments! Who knows, we may have met a few future firefighters today! 👨‍🚒
