🟥 Fire lanes are designated emergency access areas required under International Fire Code 2021 Section 503. These zones—MARKED BY RED CURBS and or POSTED SIGNS—must remain clear and unobstructed at all times.

🚫 Blocking a fire lane, even briefly, violates IFC 503.4 and can delay emergency response.

🚒 Fire engines require 20 feet of clear width for access (IFC 503.2.1) and 26 feet near hydrants (Appendix D103.1).

Keeping these areas open ensures firefighters can reach buildings, hydrants, and medical emergencies without delay.

Help keep Lovington safe:
• Do not park or stop in marked fire lanes
• Keep hydrant zones clear
• Report blocked lanes so hazards can be addressed quickly
