A few weeks ago, our Builders I students had never picked up a drill. A few lessons and now, they are putting those skills to work on a real project: a simulated car wash for our students attending the ESC Preschool. For this the Builders I planned, measured, and assembled!!

It is was great watching a line of tiny superheroes, astronauts, and cowboys play through something that had been provided to this by the Builders I.

Last night, our 3 robotics teams from IMPACT competed in their first competition, a scrimmage at MCCTC. One team finished in 7th place out of 35 teams.

Now, they’ll be working with their teams to improve their robots over the next few weeks to prepare for their first league event in November.

Three teams competed at the annual Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge. Our students competed against teams from several area schools including Boardman, Lakeview, Lisbon, Western Reserve, and Grand Valley. All three teams competed well finishing in the top 10. The team of Anastasios Davis, Yianni Koullias, and Kayla Coriano got 1st Place and received $250 each for their victory and an opportunity at a $1000 scholarship! This is the second year in a row that the Northeast Ohio Impact Academy has won the competition. Congratulations to all the students who competed.

This week, our remote pilot class got to spend the day with Mayor Valentino going all around the city of Campbell taking pictures with our drones. This was a great experience for our students, using what they’re learning in class about drones, and also providing views of their city from heights that most people never get to see. Thanks to Mayor Valentino for spending the day with us.

Friendly reminder, we will be on a two hour delay tomorrow. This means that your child's bus will come exactly 2 hours after their normally scheduled time. Classes will begin at 9:40 AM. Thank you and have a nice evening.

The Science of Music class had an exciting experience learning how musicians create their own music using synthesizers! We are incredibly grateful to Youngstown State University’s Dr. Dan Keown for generously providing the equipment and sharing his expertise with us.

10/15/2026

Vasilios Valentino captured this shot with a drone during NEOIA’s Remote Drone course.

10/15/2026

Mayor Valentino met with students from Drone Innovations to discuss how drone technology could be used to capture unique footage of our city.

We’re excited to see our students put their skills to work and explore new opportunities to showcase our community!
