We can’t wait to watch these students on the big stage in Indy next week!

Thank you so much, AgTexas Farm Credit Services

Thanks to our partners at AgTexas Farm Credit Services for their generous support of our LCISD students!

AgTexas has donated $4,000 to support our seven students who earned their place at the State Agriscience Fair and have now qualified for the NATIONAL Agriscience Fair! 🇺🇸🌱

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like AgTexas who invest in our students, support agricultural education, and help our students take their hard work to the national stage!

A huge congratulations to Kendall on an incredible accomplishment at the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo!

Kendall competed through 9 heats of Senior Showmanship, advancing through the semifinals and finals to earn a spot in the Overall Showmanship Showdown. She then competed against the top 3 showmen from each division—Junior, Intermediate, and Senior—and came away as Reserve Grand Champion Steer Showman!

With over 300 showmen competing, this is an outstanding achievement and a true testament to Kendall’s hard work and dedication!

Way to represent Lubbock-Cooper FFA, Kendall!

Last couple days to help us reach our goal!

Six of our members were invited to participate in the Dairy Honors Program, where they toured High Plains Dairy and experienced the dairy industry firsthand. From the milking parlor to the feed bays, they saw every step of producing milk and other dairy products for your home!

While we were in Friona, we also toured the Hi-Pro Feeds mill and saw the animal feed production process from start to finish!

For some of our students, this was their first exposure to production agriculture and how big the industry is. Hearing about how the animals are constantly cared for, how much the dairy does to recycle and reuse resources, how fast the milk goes from farm to table, and stories from industry professionals was especially impactful. They are looking forward to their second tour next week, where they will learn more about nutrition and reproduction.
