🎉October Educator of the Month 🎉

North Elementary is proud to present Gloria Urteaga as our October Educator of the Month!

Mrs. Gloria Urteaga is truly one of those teachers who does it ALL, and she does it with so much heart! As a 3rd grade Dual Language teacher, Gloria goes above and beyond to make sure her students feel loved, supported, and successful while building meaningful relationships with their families. Even while juggling multiple responsibilities, she never hesitates to lend a helping hand or stay late to support those around her. From helping her team navigate our new math curriculum to creating resources that encourage students to take ownership of their learning and growth, Gloria is constantly finding ways to make a difference both inside and outside her classroom. Her dedication, positivity, and genuine love for her students and teammates are just a few of the reasons we are so lucky to have her at North!

A special thank you to our community partner, Stiles, Wallace & Associates, for sponsoring North Elementary Educator of the Month! Their generous support allows us to present each honoree with a $100 and certificate as a small token of appreciation for the incredible work they do every day. We’re so grateful for businesses that believe in celebrating educators and investing in our school family! ❤️

To know Mrs. Penny Rushing is to know someone with a true servant’s heart! Penny has been a part of the North family for many years, and her kindness, dedication, and willingness to help others have made a lasting impact on so many students and staff members. Whether she is supporting students in the classroom, lending a helping hand to teachers, or finishing her day as a bus aide, Penny consistently goes above and beyond without ever expecting anything in return. She does it all with a smile and a genuine love for the people around her! Penny is one of those special people who helps make North feel like home, and we are SO thankful for the love and care she pours into our school each day.
