Buckner Children and Family Services transforms the lives of vulnerable children and builds strong families through Christ-centered values. Foster Care and Adoption - Buckner provides the training and resources needed to become a family to a child for a season through foster care or a forever family through domestic foster care or adoption. Children in these programs are most often referred through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services due to experiencing abuse, neglect or abandonment. We also respond to mothers experiencing an unplanned pregnancy with counseling and support. Foster Youth Aging Out Services - Our support programs are provided for current and former youth in state foster care, ages 16-21. The goal of the aging out program is to provide training, support and guidance to youth graduating from foster care that will enhance their ability to transition into independent living. The program helps clients find jobs, financial assistance, case management, counseling and mentor connections. If you'd like to know more inforation about Buckner transition programs, call 806-503-8009. Single Parents - We provide single-parent families the opportunity to live in a safe, secure environment while completing their educational or vocational goals and learning the skills they need to be self-sufficient. Families are provided support through access to affordable housing, financial assistance, counseling, spiritual growth and case management services. To learn more about this life-changing ministry, call 806-799-0990. Families - The Family Hope Center is a child-centered, family-focused place where families go to find hope, support and empowerment in their community to reach their fullest God-given potential. Our programs seek to engage through family assistance and community events; equip families through education, financial empowerment, child and youth development and spiritual development; elevate families through family coaching, counseling and spiritual enrichment. Some of you go to church. And some of you like talking. Some of you are never called on to pray before a meal because those two things mean no one gets to eat before it’s cold. That’s ok. We have a job for you. Host a booth for National Adoption Month and talk to people all day long.

Visit https://na2.hubs.ly/H07-38t0 for more info.

For every one child raised by relatives in foster care, roughly 19 children are raised by kin outside the foster care system. This means they don’t have access to monthly stipends, free resources, a community of partners, counseling, support groups, and more. At Buckner we go above and beyond to help our kinship families, so we can ensure children thrive. If you are in a situation where you are raising a grandchild, niece, or someone else in the family, let Buckner help.

Every parent holds a vision for the future of their family. That vision is not about fixing what is broken, but about strengthening what is already present — the determination to create opportunities that last beyond the present moment. Education is one of the ways families turn that hope into something solid. It offers more than a job today; it opens doors that remain open over time. At Buckner, this understanding shapes how Buckner Family Pathways® is designed and how families are supported as they work toward independence.
