Visitors to the Arboretum may have noticed an information sign at the Wildflower Garden that was leaning with posts loose in the ground.

The sign posts were dug up and new concrete poured around them yesterday. Volunteers did the work with materials and tools purchased by the Arboretum Foundation.

Visitors to the Arboretum may not realize the importance of the contribution of the volunteers that maintain the plants and trees. Without these volunteers the Arboretum would quickly decline into an overgrown landscape dominated by w**ds and dying trees.

Please consider making a donation or volunteering to help with keeping the Arboretum beautiful.

Volunteers from the Society of Women Engineers - SWE at Texas Tech University spread mulch and installed landscape fabric this morning. They did a great job and pushed the old Rose Garden w**d control project over the finish line!

This project would not have happened without the generous contribution of TTU student volunteer hours and the hours put in by our Arboretum Board of Directors. Many thanks to everyone involved!
