After a week of MAP testing in Science and Math, 7th graders celebrated their opening study of Hidden Figures with a hands-on collaborative art project. Each student received one square of a larger grid and followed color-coded instructions to fill their piece with either blue or red. Once completed and cut out, groups sent two representatives at a time to assemble the squares together, gradually revealing a portrait of mathematician Katherine Johnson. The activity reinforced teamwork, attention to detail, and following directions while honoring the legacy of one of NASA's pioneering women in STEM. ๐Ÿ’™ โค๏ธ
