Shoutout to our neighbors Wolfforth Fire & EMS for allowing us to use their training facility when we need to! This allows us to do skills and practice we would not be able to accomplish otherwise. This Monday we did ventilation. Did you know we use a battery power positive pressure fan? Not only can we remove smoke from a structure but also using battery powered gives us a way to provide fresh air into a structure in the event of a hazardous gas leak without adding C0 into the structure.

At approximately 0630 this morning West Carlisle was requested to assist Idalou Fire Department, Roosevelt Fire Department, New Deal Volunteer Fire / EMS, and Buffalo Springs Lake Fire Department. Ladder 1 was requested for an elevated stream on a structure fire due to crews having a difficult time accessing fire in the structure because of roof collapse. Great work by everyone! It’s always good to see county departments come together and get the job done. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the home owners who lost everything.
