LUCKY LEAVES: LEARN, PLAY & GROW!

We’re trying something new at the Pearl River County Extension Office, and we think you’re going to like this one!

Join us Thursday, October 29, for an evening that combines plants, learning, and a little friendly competition. Throughout the evening, we’ll mix research-based horticulture education with 10 rounds of a classic game of chance, where matching numbers could mean taking home a new plant!

And, of course, what’s a plant-themed game without PLANTS as the prizes? We’re putting together a great mix of houseplants, perennials, seasonal favorites, and more for our winners to take home.

• $10 program fee

Whether you’re an experienced gardener, a houseplant collector, or just looking for something fun to do, come spend the evening with us!

This is my third year showing a steer at the county fair. I also show at the MS State Fair, District, and Dixie National 4-H Livestock Shows. I enjoy anything related to raising livestock. Dear Potential Buyers,
My name is Rebecca Lawrence, and I am 17 years old. I would like to invite you to the George County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale of Champions on Tuesday, October 13th. The livestock show will start at 5:00 pm with the Sale of Champions to follow. This year I will present a steer to show. "Crisco" is a Charolais cross and currently weighs 1100 pounds. Not only do I raise steers, but I also love raising and showing market wool lambs, market wether goats, and commercial does. I currently serve on the board of the Mississippi Junior Cattleman's Association and actively participate in the Magnolia Jr. Sheep and Goat Circuit. Recently, I participated in the Mississippi Farm Bureau LEAD program, where I placed in the top four in the High School Discussion Meet. I hope you will come out and support agriculture in our community with all the George County 4-H exhibitors. All proceeds are tax-deductible and will continue to help with future livestock projects and/or further our education.
