Have you heard a lot of sirens throughout town lately?
The start of October is a good example of just how busy things can get. From 10:45 AM on October 1st through 10:45 AM on October 2nd, our Firefighter/Paramedics responded to 28 emergency calls for service in a 24 hour period while maintaining minimum staffing.
With calls often coming in at the same time, you may see multiple emergency vehicles traveling in succession to the same incident or heading to different addresses throughout town.
As a friendly reminder, when you see or hear an emergency vehicle approaching, please yield the right of way, pull over to the right side of the road, and come to a complete stop until the emergency vehicle has passed.
We appreciate our community’s continued commitment to the safety of our residents and the crews responding to these emergencies.
