Join our amazing Victim Assistant Coordinators here in Caldwell County Saturday at 9:00am by the Courthouse.

We walk to remember the ones that tried to break the chain of violence, the ones that did all the right things to protect themselves, the ones who walked away but not before the abuse started, the ones that didn’t have the strength in themselves to stand on their own, the ones that were able to make a life after breaking free.

Earlier this week two of our Telecommunications Officers attended the AAIR training in Lockhart. This course provided Law Enforcement, Fire, Telecommunicator, and Emergency Medical Services key medical skills based on tactical emergency casualty care (TECC), guidelines.

This course has been designed to improve the safety and survivability of victims of active attacks.

Today, we stand together in solidarity with survivors of domestic violence, honor the lives lost, and remind those still living in silence that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! 💜

Purple is more than just a color. It represents COURAGE, STRENGTH, SURVIVAL, and HOPE.

Domestic violence does not discriminate, and awareness should never end when October does.

💜 We wear purple for those who survived.
💜 We wear purple for those still fighting.
💜 We wear purple for those whose voices were silenced.
💜 And we wear purple because EVERYONE deserves to feel SAFE, LOVED, and RESPECTED!

We currently have two positions with the Luling Police Department open.
•School Resource Officer
•Patrol Officer

Applicants for School Resource Officer must be TCOLE Licensed and SBLE certified.

Applicants for Patrol Officer must be TCOLE Licensed.

An SRO is more than a police officer assigned to a school. The National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) describes the role through a three-part model:
•Law enforcement officer
•Educator
•Informal counselor/mentor

SROs help maintain safe campuses while building relationships with students, teachers and administration of the school district, teaching about safety and the law, and serving as trusted adults within the school community.

Those everyday relationships are an important part of the work. NASRO notes that SROs can assist with emergency planning, work alongside administrators and community partners, teach safety topics and help students navigate concerns before they escalate.

🚔LULING PD SEPTEMBER 2026 MONTHLY STATS

Here’s a look at some of the work our officers and dispatchers handled throughout September including traffic enforcement, arrests, accidents, close patrols, assist other agencies, animal control, EMS, motorist assist, follow up investigations and welfare checks.

September arrest resulted in:
11 Felony Charges
10 Misdemeanor Charges
5 Warrant Services
(Each arrest can result in multiple charges)

These numbers represent more than statistics; they represent the dedicated work our officers and dispatchers do to keep Luling safe, respond to calls, investigate crimes, and connect with the community.

We’re proud of the work being done by our First Responders of the Luling Police Department and grateful for the continued support of our community.
