Please join us in congratulating Josh Seal on his promotional appointment to Captain!

Captain Seal has served with the Luray Police Department since December 2019 and began his law enforcement career in 2000. Prior to joining Luray PD, he served with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for 19 years.

Throughout his career, Captain Seal has built his experience through supervisory roles and specialized training. His background includes drug interdiction, S.W.A.T., tactical medicine, mental health emergency response, cultural diversity, and numerous leadership and supervisory courses. All of these accomplishments play a vital role in his ability to fill the position of Captain.

Captain Seal’s experience, leadership, and dedication to both our community and our department will continue to be an asset as he steps into this new role.

We are proud to have Captain Seal as part of the Luray Police Department and look forward to seeing him continue to lead and serve in this new position.

🇺🇸 TRAFFIC ADVISORY | 9/11 MEMORIAL FLAG RUN 🇺🇸

Motorists are asked to use extra caution this morning as runners participate in the annual 9.11-mile Memorial Flag Run from the Stanley Volunteer Fire Department to the Luray Volunteer Fire Department.

⚠️ Please expect runners, support vehicles, temporary traffic interruptions, and possible delays along the route from around 08:40-11:30. Allow extra travel time, consider alternate routes when possible, slow down, and give runners plenty of room.

🇺🇸 We also invite our community to show their support! If the runners pass your home or business, step outside, wave, and proudly display the American Flag.

Please help us keep everyone safe while we honor those we lost and those who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

Plan ahead. Slow down. Fly your flag. Never forget. 🇺🇸
