Do something nice for Ridgely!

There's a national day for literally everything now, but why not make the most of a sweet one?! Here's a list of nice things you can do today to help make Ridgely Middle an even nicer place!

- Participate in the CAW to ACTION! Tomorrow is the final day to contribute non-perishables, personal care items, and household essentials to the Baltimore Hunger Project. RMS is trying to fill a trailer with supplies - send a few in with your student tomorrow! Find all the details here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nDlutvHDIhfufcFDjPf7JOTOToClJc7m/view?usp=drive_link
- Donate yarn to Project Linus - the club that crafts homemade items to donate to hospitals and juvenile facilities. Send any type/color of yarn into the office and label for Ms. Grace.
- Donate used bottoms (shorts, sweatpants, leggings) in good condition to Ridgely so students can grab a spare in case of a spill, slip in the mud, or personal need. Send to the office and label for Nurse Westwater.
- Donate used youth magazines (i.e. Sports Illustrated Kids, National Geographic Kids, etc.) to the RMS Library (just avoid time-sensitive ones like issues of The Week). Send to the office and label for Ms. Cook.
- Secure a donated item for the Silent Auction at the RMS Craft Fair! Find a list of ideas and instructions here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/10sd4246V4Q2QR0ldrTEWGoZHZzD7Z69naOw_COTLfrw/edit?usp=drive_link
- Lend or donate binoculars for use during the school-time Birding Club! Send to the office and label for Ms. Lutwyche. (Let her know if you'd like them back)
- Equip a student in need with school supplies, through Ridgely's ongoing School Supply Drive. Find needed items and ways to give here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pg2ZqwGDawibM0_vBvOumuXNDDvHWJjZ/edit?usp=drive_link&ouid=107498147209137466352&rtpof=true&sd=true

A message from RMS Baseball:
We are excited to announce the return of RMS Baseball for the Spring 2027 season! ⚾️

There will be two tryout dates:
October 2: 6th & 7th graders
October 9: 7th & 8th graders

7th graders should plan to attend both tryout dates.

What to Expect / Commitment:
Each team will have one indoor practice per week for five weeks during March and April. Specific dates and times are still TBD.
Games will take place during April and May, and we are working to schedule at least six games for each team. Once games begin, we will not hold additional practices outside of game days.

Last year, the 6th/7th grade team played games on Mondays and the 7th/8th grade team played on Wednesdays. We are working with DHS to continue that arrangement this year, as DHS is currently using the RMS fields due to construction.

For away games, parents/guardians are responsible for transportation.

Questions?
Please contact us at [email protected]

Registration:
The registration link will close on Tuesday, September 29, so register today!
