Today is National Move Over Day.

It takes a short time to get apparatus positioned allowing everyone working an accident scene to be safe.

So be patient, slow down, and be attentive. We all want to go home.

Firefighters Jason and Matt participated at the Luxemburg-Casco Intermediate Schools Trunk or Treat program.

They were both part of our future firefighters recruitment program.🙂

On Thursday firefighters visited Day By Day Discovories Childcare and discussed fire safety.

Everyone was so attentive during our fire safety discussion.

We finished up by raising the ladder and spraying some water. It’s always so enjoyable to see the kids reaction when we do this.

Come out today and support your local fire and rescue departments at our annual burger/brat/trippe/booyah, Mac & Cheese cookout.

Serving starts at 10:30 in the expo hall at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds.

Bingo from 1pm-4pm. Wh***ey Ditch band plays from 7pm-11pm.

Come check out the 42-bucket raffles and other raffles.

Thank you Wisconsin Public Service Foundation for grant money used to replace the department’s aging AED unit.

Grants, donations, and fundraisers all help by allowing us to purchase equipment without going to the municipalities asking for funds.

We can’t say thank you enough for your support!!!

The WPS Foundation wrapped up its Rewarding Responders Week by announcing grants for lifesaving tools for the Luxemburg Police Department and Luxemburg Community Fire Department.

A huge THANK YOU for joining us at this year’s Pancake/Porky fundraiser.

We enjoyed serving all 1,317 of you, watching the kids pick out a fire helmet, and allowing the kids to sit in and check out our fire apparatus.
