I would like to congratulate my opponent (Mrs. Betty Montgomery) on winning the Spartanburg County Council District 5 election. Running for public office is a significant commitment, and I appreciate everyone who participated in this election process.

I want to sincerely thank my family, friends, volunteers, and supporters for their encouragement, hard work, and confidence in me throughout this campaign. I am grateful for every conversation, every handshake, and every opportunity to hear from the residents of District 5.

While the outcome was not what we hoped for, my commitment to our community remains unchanged. I will continue to support Spartanburg County and work alongside our elected leaders to help make District 5 and our county the best it can be.

Again, I wish Mrs. Montgomery success as she has been elected to serve the citizens of District 5.

Today is Election Day!

I want to wish all of the candidates the very best as voters head to the polls today. Regardless of the outcome, I remain committed to serving and supporting the community that I am proud to call home. I look forward to working alongside those elected to lead our county and communities as we continue striving to make Spartanburg County an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

I am hopeful that I have earned the trust and support of the voters in District 5 to represent the Republican ticket this fall. I am truly grateful for every conversation, every word of encouragement, and every show of support throughout this campaign.

This is your opportunity to make your voice heard and play an active role in shaping the future of our community. I encourage everyone across Spartanburg County Council District 5 to get out and vote—every ballot truly matters.

If you live in Landrum, Campobello, Inman, Lyman, portions of Wellford, Duncan, or the greater Greer area within District 5, this is your moment to participate in the decisions that impact our roads, schools, public safety, and local growth.

I want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who came out to Pizza & Politics tonight at the Landrum Historic Train Depot.

Although I was unable to attend due to my commitment at the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers Annual Conference, I was encouraged to hear about the great turnout and the positive conversations that took place throughout the evening.

Most importantly, thank you for being so gracious and welcoming to my wife, Jessica, as she stood in for me and delivered my remarks. Public speaking and representing a candidate is no small task, and I am incredibly proud of the job she did. Your kindness, support, and encouragement meant a great deal to both of us.

One of the things I value most about District 5 is the quality of its people. Events like tonight remind me why I am running—to serve a community that cares, engages, and comes together to discuss the future of Spartanburg County in a respectful and meaningful way.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, asked questions, shared ideas, and helped make the evening a success. I look forward to being back home soon, meeting with many of you in person, and continuing our conversations as we approach Primary Election Day on June 9th.

As your next Spartanburg County Council District 5 representative, I look forward to serving every corner of our district—from Landrum, Lyman, Inman, Campobello, Wellford, and Duncan, to our neighbors in the Spartanburg County portion of Greer. I will only have limited areas in Wellford and Duncan as the majority of these areas are in an adjoining district

One of my priorities is ensuring that every community has a strong voice at the table. For far too long, many residents on the Spartanburg County side of Greer have been underrepresented due to their proximity to Greenville County. Those families, businesses, and community members deserve the same attention, advocacy, and service as every other part of District 5.

I am committed to listening, learning, and working hard for all of District 5. Together, we can build a stronger future while preserving the values and quality of life that make our communities special.

I would be honored to earn your vote in the Republican Primary on June 9th. Early voting is also available, and every vote matters.
