TOMORROW!
🚨 Stand with Blanca — Tuesday, September 15 at 8 AM in Burlington 🚨
Last year, when Blanca Martinez was called in for ICE check-ins, the ECCO community and our partners showed up in a big way. Together, we helped secure a one-year deferral.
Now that year is up, and Blanca has been called back to ICE on September 15.
We will not give up on our sister Blanca. Blanca belongs here.
Last year, our organizing made a difference. Now we need to show up again.
💪🏽 WHAT: Accompaniment and gathering at ICE Headquarters
📍 WHERE: 1000 District Avenue, Burlington, MA
⏰ WHEN: Tuesday, September 15 at 8 AM

Good news: Thanks to your organizing — alongside ECCO, MCAN - Massachusetts Communities Action Network, and many other groups — Gov. Healey launched a portal to report ICE misconduct and recently banned ICE from using state property to stage their operations. Let’s celebrate — and keep building.

🌟 We’re Hiring: Two Community Organizers! 🌟

ECCO is excited to be hiring two organizers to join our team on the North Shore:

✨ One organizer rooted in Black communities and Lynn
✨ One organizer rooted in Latine communities and immigrant justice

We are looking for organizers who bring deep relationships, cultural knowledge, and lived experience, and who want to build power alongside their communities.

These are meaningful roles in a critical moment, working with faith and community leaders to advance dignity, justice, and lasting change. We offer strong organizational support, opportunities for growth, and generous benefits, including 15 weeks of paid time off.

If this sounds like you—or someone you love and respect—please email resume and cover letter to Rabbi Margie Klein Ronkin at [email protected].

Writing samples welcome (articles, press releases, or training materials).
