❤️ Caring Hearts Community Spotlight: Sabrina Connaughton
Every November, the Lynnwood Event Center at The District at celebrates Caring Hearts Month, a time dedicated to giving back, supporting local nonprofits, and recognizing the incredible people making a difference in our community. Throughout the month, we'll be shining a spotlight on 4 individuals and organizations whose kindness, generosity, and dedication are helping make our community a better place.
We're kicking things off with Sabrina Connaughton, a longtime community volunteer who has dedicated much of her life to helping others, one meal at a time!
Sabrina's passion for feeding those in need comes from a deeply personal place. Growing up hearing her family's stories of surviving war, persecution, and extreme hunger, she learned early on that no matter how little you have, there's always something you can share.
Today, Sabrina serves as head chef for the weekly community meal at St. Dunstan's in Shoreline, helping provide warm, welcoming meals to people experiencing food insecurity. She also volunteers with Neighbors in Need and prepares sandwiches for local organizations serving those in need.
For Sabrina, it's about more than providing food. It's about making sure everyone feels welcomed, respected, and cared for, without judgment.
