Mabank ISD Police Department would like to remind everyone to please slow down and pay close attention to the posted speed limits while traveling on school property.
Attached is a map showing the designated speed limits around Mabank Jr. High and Mabank High School:
Yellow areas: 5 MPH
Blue areas: 10 MPH
With the amount of vehicle and pedestrian traffic we experience each day, especially during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup, these reduced speed limits are necessary to help protect our students, staff, parents, and visitors.
Moving forward, Mabank ISD Police Officers will be actively enforcing the designated speed limits on school property.
We understand everyone has somewhere to be, but saving a few seconds is never worth putting someone’s safety at risk. Please take your time, remain alert, stay off your phone, and slow down while traveling through our campuses.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep Mabank ISD safe.
Chief Joey Rich
Mabank ISD Police Department
