U.S. Civil Affairs personnel assigned to Special Operations Command Central trained alongside the Kyrgyz State Border Service near Tash-Komur, Kyrgyzstan, June 15–19.

The engagement focused on tactical mountaineering, combat casualty care, and medical evacuation in austere environments—building trust, improving interoperability, and strengthening the U.S.-Kyrgyz partnership.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, we remember a day that changed our Nation, our Armed Forces, and countless families forever.

We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders and service members who answered the call, and the families who continue to carry that loss.

For SOCCENT, 9/11 holds special meaning. Many of our teammates served in the years that followed, in a generation defined by courage, sacrifice, and perseverance. We remember their service, honor their legacy, and remain committed to the purpose for which they served.
