BRING IT, PREP IT, SMASH IT! 🎃💥🏏🏗️✨
Looking to send your jack-o'-lanterns out in a blaze of smashing glory? Grab your doorstep pumpkins and head over to Veterans Park on Saturday, November 7th for the ultimate post-Halloween destruction party! 🎃🔨

Here’s how the fun works:
1️⃣ PREP IT: Remove candles, wax, plastic props, stickers, and googly eyes so our pumpkins stay 100% clean and compost-ready for local farmers! 🧼

2️⃣ SMASH IT: Take a swing with baseball bats, wield our giant wooden mallets, or send it for a plunge to pulverize your pumpkin into pumpkin-pulp perfection! 🏏🔨

Every single smashed piece is collected and composted to nourish rich soil for local agriculture! It's messy, satisfying, and 100% eco-friendly fun for the whole family! 🌾🍁

In just a few weeks we'll be taking a relaxing, scenic morning stroll through the golden trails of Lakeview Nature Area! Join us on Monday, November 9th for our Autumn Guided Tour from 10:30am - 11:15am!

Together, we’ll discover the rich history, autumn biodiversity, and prairie sights that make Lakeview so magical as the seasons change. Plus, we’ll make a sweet stop at the Lakeview Community Apiary to enjoy a taste of fresh, locally harvested honey! 🍯✨

🎒 WHAT TO BRING: Dress comfortably for outdoor walking in autumn weather and wear your favorite walking shoes!

Instead of letting old pumpkins rot in the landfill, bring them over to smash, fling, and recycle! Every single pumpkin collected is composted to nourish rich soil for local farmers. It’s a smashingly fun, eco-friendly way for the whole family to wrap up the autumn season!

We are so excited to partner with our friends at the Prairie Land Conservancy for this year’s Moonlight Meander! 💚

Dedicated to preserving local wildlife habitats, prairies, oak-hickory woodlands, and open natural spaces throughout west-central Illinois, the Prairie Land Conservancy team will be on-site at Lakeview with an awesome hands-on activity station! 🍃

Bring your little sprouts by their table during the festival to explore a hands-on nature sensory table, play a fun wildlife game, and learn how we can all be great stewards of our local prairie and woodland neighbors! 🌾👀🎲

Afterwards, stay to explore our illuminated trail paths, hunt for hidden pumpkins in the prairie, and toast a sweet s'more around the campfire! 🪵🔥🍫
