Customers respond favorably to businesses that employ people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which increases brand loyalty. That’s just one of several reasons hiring people with IDD is a smart business move. There are others you can read about in Mosaic’s latest blog post. There’s also a great video on the page for you to enjoy. It shows how one person can influence the staff members all around him.

Squalor, abuse, and neglect were commonplace in public institutions of the early 20th century. One man felt the church should offer something better, and that was the beginning of Mosaic’s history in 1913.

Our new history video explores how Mosaic has evolved since then to meet new needs while keeping our core values intact. It also looks at how the world has become more inclusive of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, even though there’s still a long way to go.

Mosaic will continue to stand with and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other diverse needs. We’ve got the grit to face and overcome challenges as we work to empower the people we support through personalized services, helping them have better lives and a brighter future.
