Pillar EMS Academy will be at Pride in the Park!

Pillar EMS Academy is excited to serve as the First Aid Station for this year’s event at Cherry Street Plaza in Downtown Macon.

Starting at 2:00 PM, our EMS students will be on-site practicing class skills, providing blood pressure checks, assisting with basic first aid, and building valuable community patient contacts.

Thinking about a career in EMS?

Stop by and talk with us! If you have questions about becoming an EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic, our students and staff will be there to answer questions and give you a firsthand look at what EMS training is really like.

Come enjoy the festival, meet some of our students, get your blood pressure checked, and learn how you can start your own EMS career with Pillar EMS Academy.

The GPSTC is proud to announce our Third Come in From the Rain Symposium. Attendees will discover strategies to take care of themselves and each other with tools to prevent burnout, depression and the effects of the devastation experienced every day, as well as resources and options when the situation becomes unbearable.

All Public Safety, including law enforcement, fire, EMS, communications, and anyone interested in Mental health, first aid, financial wellness, resilience, peer counseling and support, physical wellness, mindset, and more.

The symposium is 16 hours over two days and will be held in the Auditorium on GPSTC's main campus in Forsyth on October 27-28, 2026.

We Will Never Forget

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the firefighters, EMS professionals, law enforcement officers, military personnel, and countless others who answered the call that day. We remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

We also remember the families who lost loved ones and all whose lives were forever changed.

May we never forget their lives, their courage, their sacrifice, and the unity our nation found in the days that followed.

We are excited to announce that students at Pillar EMS Academy can now complete clinical rotations with Emory Healthcare in Warner Robins!

Even better, our next Warner Robins EMT class starts September 24! Train to become a licensed EMT, complete clinicals with outstanding healthcare partners, and take the first step toward a career in EMS, possibly even with organizations like Emory.

One of the perks of having the best seats in town for the Macon Bacon games is being able to share the experience with our students, graduates, clients, and friends. ⚾️🥓

At Pillar EMS Academy, we believe relationships matter both inside and outside the classroom. Whether it’s celebrating current students, reconnecting with past graduates, or spending time with the people who support our mission, nights at the ballpark are always a great reminder of the community we’ve built together.

Oh, and the tickets include all-you-can-eat food, which somehow makes the games even better. 🌭🍔😂
