September is National Preparedness Month, and we kicked it off with our annual ESF Partner Cookout! It was a chance to thank the partners who support Macon-Bibb County EMA as we prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.

Our staff also joined Neighborhood Night to Unite at Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church to talk with residents about emergency preparedness and public safety. At Middle Georgia State University’s Health & Safety Fair, we shared preparedness resources alongside campus and community partners offering information on health, well-being, and personal safety for the campus students.

Preparedness doesn’t end when September does. Keep making plans, staying informed, and looking out for your family, neighbors, and community all year long. 💙
