Congratulations to Youth Correctional Officers, April Phelen and Alejandra Hernandez-Cortes, on successfully completing Youth Correctional Core training.

Special acknowledgment is needed, as Youth Correctional Officer April Phelen was awarded a certificate for being the top academic officer in their Core training, with an overall GPA of 95 percent.

We proudly celebrated the ribbon-cutting of our Madera County Probation Outreach Support Team (POST) Mobile Service Unit! This milestone marks a new chapter for our department as we take probation services beyond our walls and directly into the streets and communities we serve.

With the support of our dedicated staff, county and state leaders, elected officials, and community partners, we are expanding our reach and strengthening our commitment to serving the public through a balance of accountability, rehabilitation, and opportunity.

This is more than a vehicle—it’s a commitment to meeting people where they are and making a difference in our community. Together, we are moving Probation forward! 💙

We are proud to stand alongside our Central Valley law enforcement partners and community in the fight against breast cancer!

Through our Pink Patch Fundraiser, the Madera County Probation Department raises funds to support the Marjorie E. Radin Breast Care Center at Clovis Community Medical Center. Thanks to the generosity of our community and everyone who has supported this effort, we have raised thousands of dollars over the years, helping support women as they navigate their fight against breast cancer.

Every patch and Pink Patch item purchased helps make a difference. Together, we can continue to raise awareness, provide support, and remind those fighting breast cancer that they are not alone.

Join us as Madera County Probation and the District Attorney’s Office bring Halloween to the grandest stage in Hollywood, oops, I mean Madera, for our 15th Annual Halloween Community Event!

This year, we’re bringing a little Universal Studios movie magic to Halloween! Don’t worry about the Halloween Horror Nights though, this is going to be a fun evening filled with games, trick-or-treat stations, entertainment, a costume contest, prizes, and plenty of treats!

Today the Madera Sunrise Rotary Club and Madera Noon Rotary Club put on a wonderful luncheon for the Madera County Probation Department. The staff were able to come together in unity and enjoy each other’s company while also strengthening the bonds of their relationships as coworkers. The luncheon was organized to recognize and show appreciation for our staff, acknowledging the difficult work they do, and that the community is here to support Probation. We are incredibly grateful to both clubs for their hospitality, their fellowship, and their genuine support for our department. On behalf of Madera County Probation, thank you for your generosity. Your support means a great deal to our department, and we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to remind our team that they are valued and that the work they do makes a difference in our community.

Update! Our Resource Fair has ended, and all vendors have departed including the Food Bank. Thank you to everyone who attended! We look forward to seeing you at our next event, to be determined.

The Madera County Food Bank is onsite for those wishing to pick up a box of food. Please come by!

The Madera County Probation Department is committed to promoting public safety, rehabilitation, and successful community reintegration.

The Madera County Probation Department does not participate in, assist with, or provide operational support for federal immigration enforcement activities. Department personnel do not conduct immigration enforcement operations or take enforcement action based solely on an individual’s immigration status.

Our services and supervision practices are focused on fulfilling the Department’s lawful responsibilities, supporting individuals under our supervision, and maintaining the safety and well-being of our community.
