Throughout October, we’re highlighting the incredible school leaders across the Choice Schools network through the words of their superintendents.

Today, we’re celebrating Stacy Byrd, School Leader at Four Corners Montessori Academy!

"Stacy, thank you for your continued commitment to true, authentic Montessori education, for ensuring the students at Four Corners feel safe taking risks, are challenged to reach their full potential, and are provided with opportunities to experience all that life has to offer. You continue to make decisions around what is best for the students and families you serve. It goes without saying that your passion and commitment to FCMA are truly appreciated. Thank you for your continued leadership."
-Cheryl Paull, Superintendent

Follow along as we celebrate each of our outstanding school leaders and the leadership they bring to their schools every day! 💙

A heartfelt thank-you to all the families who joined us for our Montessori Literacy Night at Four Corners Montessori Academy!

We loved sharing our language materials and demonstrating how each hands-on lesson builds upon the next, guiding children through the natural progression of literacy learning.

From exploring sounds and recognizing letters to building words, blending sounds, and developing reading and writing skills, Montessori language materials provide children with concrete, meaningful experiences that build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

✨ Every material has a purpose, and every lesson builds upon the last. Through repetition, exploration, and hands-on discovery, children move at their own pace from early language awareness toward confident reading and writing.

We hope the evening gave you a deeper understanding of the thoughtful sequence behind our Montessori curriculum and the incredible learning happening in our classrooms each day.

Thank you for being our partners in your child’s educational journey! Together, we are nurturing a love of language, curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Families of Four Corners Montessori Academy, join us for a special evening dedicated to discovering the power of Montessori literacy!

Our teachers will guide you through engaging presentations of the literacy materials and lessons your children experience in the classroom every day. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the curriculum, see how our materials support reading and writing development, and learn how hands-on Montessori experiences build strong literacy foundations.

See the materials. Explore the lessons. Discover the learning!

This is your chance to step into your child’s learning world, ask questions, and better understand how Montessori nurtures confident readers, capable writers, and lifelong learners.

We look forward to sharing the beauty of Montessori literacy with you!

Happy Indigenous People day !

Through meaningful conversations, stories, geography, and cultural exploration, we encourage our students to learn about Indigenous Peoples’ past and present, recognize their contributions, and appreciate the richness of their living cultures.

At Montessori, we believe education nurtures curiosity, understanding, and respect for all people. When children learn to honor the stories of others, they take another step toward becoming compassionate, informed, and peaceful citizens of our world. 🌎
