Science classes are taking advantage of all we can learn in our own backyard! Grade 7 classes took a walking field trip to Bauer Park where they met with Town Engineer Robert Russo and learned about our local watershed, stormwater management, and how Madison protects our freshwater resources. Students also observed the local ecosystem.

Graphic Novelist Mat Heagerty visited Polson last week to help students with their graphic novels in language arts. Mr. Heagerty walked students through his process as a graphic novelist and helped students develop and revise their own ideas!

History comes to life in Mr. Pagliuco's class! Grade 7 students participate in a simulation of alliances prior to World War I where they represent countries and receive “espionage” based on actual history from their respective spy agencies. Their mission: create as many alliances as they can to protect themselves in case of war. This popular lesson really aligns with middle schoolers’ love of social interaction!
