Hard to beat fall in Wisconsin!

I've been lucky to call the 36th Assembly District home my whole life and to have views like this in my backyard. Grateful for the beauty of our state and to have the opportunity to live and serve in such a special place.

A little late sharing these photos, but these were two great events worth looking back on!

It was wonderful to celebrate 90 years of Graetz MFG and the people who have helped make the company part of the Pound Community for generations. Congratulations on this incredible milestone!

I was also honored to be part of the Camp Bird Appreciation Day and speak about the importance of this special place to our area and the generations of people who have helped make it what is today.

In a world where kids are spending more and more time connected to screens, places like Camp Bird give them an opportunity to step away from technology, get outside, explore, learn new things, and make memories with new friends. Time outdoors is important for kids, and Camp Bird has been providing those experiences for generations.

Events like these are a great reminder of what makes the 36th Assembly District so special!

Earlier this week, I met with a local farmer who asked if I could visit his farm and discuss challenges he's facing and ideas of what he thinks could help. Following that we went and talked with volunteers at the Town of Riverview fire department to discuss how we can attract and retain volunteers.

These conversations matter. Hearing directly from the people who keep our communities strong helps me better understand where we can make a difference at the state level.

It was great to be in Amberg last weekend for the Amberg Fire Department's Annual Parade and Picnic!

The Amberg Fire Department is made up of dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy, and often leave their families and jobs at a moment's notice to help protect their neighbors and community. Their commitment to serving others is something we should all appreciate and be grateful for.

While I was there, I had the chance to catch up with my old pal Smokey the Bear! Always good to see a familiar face - and a great reminder that we all have a role to play in preventing wildfires.

Thank you to the Amberg Fire Department and all the community volunteers for putting on such a great annual tradition!

I'm honored to be recognized by Wisconsin Conservation Voters for my work protecting Wisconsin's drinking water and addressing PFAS contamination.

During the 2025-2026 legislative session, I was proud to work with Senator Eric Wimberger to bring people together around bipartisan solutions to PFAS contamination. Our work on AB 130 and AB 131 helped ensure PFAS grant programs were signed into law with unanimous legislative support, giving communities resources to protect their water.

Thank you to Wisconsin Conservation Voters for this recognition - and most importantly, thank you to my constituents who worked with us to get this done. Your advocacy and partnership helped make this possible.

There's nothing quite like a day at the track - especially when you get to share it with family!

After working on legislation this past session to help protect Wisconsin's racing facilities, I was excited to get out to Road America for the GT World Challenge America Races. I brought along my sons, grandkids, and Uncle Tom, and we had an incredible time together.

Racing is about more than fast cars and great competition. It's an important part of Wisconsin's tourism industry, bringing visitors from across the country to our communities, supporting local businesses, and creating unforgettable experiences for families.

Having my family all together, enjoying the sights, sounds, and excitement of the races, made for memories I'll treasure for years to come.

It was an honor to attend the Florence County Fair this past weekend and spend time with so many members of the community.

While at the fair, I had the privilege of presenting a citation from the State of Wisconsin to the family of Ed Kelley, recognizing his more than 50 years of service and dedication to Florence County.

Ed passed away earlier this year, but his commitment to the county and the people he served will not be forgotten. More than five decades of service is an extraordinary legacy, and it was meaningful to have the opportunity to recognize his contributions on behalf of the state.

A special thank you to Village Clerk/Treasurer Jessica Klumpp for all of her help organizing the fair and helping to make it a successful community event. And thank you to everyone who contributed their time and effort to make the Florence County Fair another great gathering for our community!

It was a pleasure to attend the Ribbon Cutting and Open House at the Peshtigo Middle/High School and to celebrate the upgrades made to the school!

During the event, I had the opportunity to speak with the School Board President as well as Superintendent Patrick Rau about the improvements and the continued work being done to provide students with a great place to learn and grow. Thank you to the Peshtigo School District, school board, staff, and community for making this celebration possible.

And to all the students, teachers, staff and families heading back to school today - I hope you have a fantastic school year! Wishing everyone a safe, successful, and rewarding year ahead.

Fair season is one of my favorite times of year in Wisconsin!

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to spend time at the Oconto County Fair, visiting with folks from across the community and enjoying all that makes our county fairs so special.

While I was there I ran into Congressman Tony Wied, and we had the chance to talk with some local veterans. It has an honor to thank them for their service, hear their stories, and spend some time with them.

And the fair season continues! This weekend, I'll be at the Florence County Fair and the Marinette County Fair as well. Fairs are a great way to get the family out of the house, enjoy some good food, see the animals and exhibits, support our local 4-H and FFA members, and spend time with friends and neighbors.
