What a great way to show some American pride at the Owen Parade yesterday!

Daniel Osborn with Wisconsin Veteran Farm & Winery, located in Cornell, brought out this incredible M998 HUMVEE and M1101 trailer, proudly displaying American flags and serving as a beautiful military tribute.

It was an honor to see this tribute to our veterans and the sacrifices they have made for our country.

Thank you, Daniel, for helping keep that spirit of patriotism and remembrance alive in our communities!

And thank you to everyone who came out to the parade yesterday! It was great seeing so many people come together to celebrate our community.

25 years ago, our nation was forever changed.

Today, we remember the innocent lives lost on 9/11 and honor the brave heroes who risked everything to save others.

Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We remember. We honor. And most importantly, we will never forget.

During my time in the Legislature, one of the top concerns I've heard from constituents is the lack of local control over the placement of industrial wind and solar facilities in our rural communities. That is why I joined with several of my colleagues to introduce legislation aimed at restoring local control. While this proposal was not signed into law this session, I remain committed to working on this issue.

This week, I joined Representative Travis Tranel for a tour of Creek Bed Farmacy near Poynette. We learned about how a large solar development is impacting their farm and agri-tourism business. Thank you to owners Darrell and Julie Schoeneberg, Lowville Town Chairman Brad Schack, and the many others who took the time to share their perspective with us. Learning more about these situations around the state will help Rep. Tranel and I as we continue to work to restore local control over these energy projects.
