From October 19 through October 26, a licensed trapper will be working in the Wildlife Observation Area as part of our ongoing nuisance wildlife management program to protect the stability of the lagoon banks and dikes. Any traps placed are set away from the walking paths.

As always, please stay on the trails and keep pets leashed as you visit the area.

The future of water depends on us.

reminds us that we don't just need and use water, our actions impact its future. After we collect and treat the wastewater we receive, it is returned to the environment.

We all play a part. From the choices we make every day at home and in our offices, to the investments in resilient infrastructure at the plant and throughout our collection system, we are all working towards a safe and healthy future for everyone.

Beesly stopped by the Madison Public Market to kick off Wisconsin Science Festival and remind us that small changes make big waves!

Every drop of wastewater that gets cleaned starts its journey in our Headworks building.

Each day, approximately 38 million gallons of influent arrive from our customer communities, plus truckloads of wastewater from septage haulers.

Here, wastewater passes through screens to remove trash such as wipes, rags, and plastic. The water then swirls through special chambers to remove grit, like sand and gravel. All of this trash and grit ends up in a dumpster headed for the landfill.

Remember: if it's not toilet paper, it doesn't belong in the toilet. Even "flushable" wipes! Help us out by tossing them in the trash instead.
