π‘ Where does Permanent School Fund money go?
Every public school district and charter school in Minnesota receives an annual distribution from the Permanent School Fund.
The amount each receives is based on student enrollment and income generated by the fund. During the 2025β26 school year, $63.8 million was distributed among Minnesotaβs public school districts and charter schools.
These funds can support educational services such as instructional materials, curriculum, teacher salaries, extracurricular activities and school facilities.
Itβs one more way Minnesotaβs school trust lands provide ongoing support for public education.
