We are saddened to learn of the passing of Carolyn Rudebusch. She was one of Heartland's earliest employees, joining the organization in 1977. She worked for Heartland for 21 years before retiring in 1998, but then joined us again in 2015 as temp help. Always a smile and warm greeting. Sending our deepest condolences to her family.❤️

The City of Sioux Falls - Municipal Government recently opened its new $14.7M Light, Power & Traffic facility, consolidating operations which were previously spread across multiple outdated sites. 🎉

The facility creates more room for crews, equipment and infrastructure to better support the growing community.

Heartland staff got a sneak peek during the city's media day: https://heartlandenergy.com/sioux-falls-brings-light-power-traffic-under-one-roof/

in Colman, South Dakota tonight! We're rooting for Colman-Egan Public School Hawks! 🏐💟

Let’s fill the stands this Tuesday, October 13th wearing our PINK and cheer on the Colman-Egan Hawks as they take on the Bridgewater-Emery Huskies! All proceeds will go toward supporting Dawn Murray in her fight.

A HUGE thank you to Heartland Energy for generously donating three candy baskets and pink volleyballs for the raffle, along with pink rally towels that will be tossed into the crowd throughout the evening!

Public power is about more than keeping the lights on. ⚡

It’s about communities owning their electric systems, making decisions locally and keeping the benefits of those systems close to home.🏘️

At Heartland, we’re proud to work alongside the municipal utilities that make possible in communities across our region. 🏛️🤝

Your Community. Your Utility. Your Power.

🔐 You lock your laptop. The electric industry takes cybersecurity seriously, too.

From protecting utility systems to keeping critical infrastructure secure, cybersecurity is an important part of delivering reliable electric service. utilities work every day to protect the systems their communities depend on. 🛡️

Public Power gives communities a voice. 📢

Because the electric utility is locally owned, residents have opportunities to be part of the conversation about the future of their electric system.

Through public meetings, elected representatives and conversations with local utility leaders, communities can help shape the decisions that affect them.🗣️ 💬

Your voice matters. So does your utility.
