The Wisconsin Troopers Benevolent Foundation is sad to share that on October 2nd, 2026, Trooper Brad Ritger tragically passed away from his injuries sustained while in the line-of-duty, on September 21st, 2026.

Trooper Ritger was not just a Trooper. He was a son, a husband and a father. Please keep the Ritger family in your thoughts during this extremely difficult time. Brad and his sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Recently, members of the Wisconsin Troopers Benevolent Foundation were honored to be invited to the New Glarus Brewery for a generous donation presentation. This donation is crucial for helping our department members purchase ballistic vests. We cannot say enough how much the support from our community partners make a difference.
